And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope

Sunday Prayer and Meditation

"22. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23. to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24.  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.  25. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.  26. In your anger do not sin:  Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27. and do not give the devil a foothold."

Ephesians 4:22-27 (NIV)

Sunday Prayer and Meditation

"10. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  11. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.  12. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me."

Sunday Prayer and Meditation

"7. Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs. 8. For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them. 9. Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed."

Isaiah 61:7-9, NIV

Sunday Prayer and Meditation

Somone told me a long time ago that prayer is when you talk to God and meditation is when you listen. I need to do both a lot more. This morning I turned on the tv and the preacher was preaching out of the book of Matthew. This is the scripture for todays Prayer and Meditation.

"come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"
Matthew 11:28
